What is 2FA and how to enable this on the Lawpath platform?

Updated over a year ago

What is 2FA?

2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) is a security process that requires two methods of verifying a user's identity before granting access to the Lawpath platform. The goal of 2FA is to enhance the security of online accounts and services by adding an extra layer of protection beyond just a username and password.

How do I enable/disable 2FA on my Lawpath Account?

In the right-hand corner of the Lawpath platform, click on β€˜account settings’

Then select the β€˜Security’ tab and choose '2-step verification'

  • If you'd like to enable '2-step verification' you will then follow the directions on the screen.

  • If you'd like to disable '2-step verification' your account will show that 2FA is active and you will then select 'Disable'.

    • Please note if your account does not show 2FA is active then you have not set up 2FA & no further action is needed to disable the feature

Which authenticator app do I need to use to enable 2FA?

  • The Lawpath 2FA does not require you to use a particular authenticator app. You can use the app of your choice - such Authy, Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator
