What Does the Status of My Document Mean?

Find out more about the different stages of your documents.

Lawpath's contract management system allows you to action, store and organise all your legal documents in one place!

The document status will indicate what functions the document is able to perform, and the type of document it is marked as.

New Documents

Documents made on the platform that are able to be edited will have a blue logo.

In progress

New documents from our library will appear as 'In Progress' until completed or deleted. Collaborate with team members or resume editing as needed.

Collaborating

This means that you have given or received access to team members to answer questionnaires and leave comments.

Completed

Your document is finalised. From here you can Download, eSign, duplicate, or share it. 'Completed' doesn't mean it's unchangeable. Hit 'Edit' to make tweaks. Finishing it will save a new version.

Document Tip! Duplicate your template to create different versions of your agreement.

Uploaded

Store your own docs in My Documents, the status shows 'Uploaded'. You can eSign or share with others.
โ€‹Document Tip! Rename your document once it is uploaded to know which document is which.


Templates

In Progress

This means that you are still working on your template and is not yet ready to send to others. You can click the pencil arrow to continue editing your Template until you are satisfied and ready to use.

Ready to Use

Your Template is saved and ready to be sent to others to be filled out and completed.

Response Completed

This means that you were able to send the template link to the other party who needed to fill out and sign it, and they have completed it.


eSigned Documents

Documents that have been sent for signature will have a green logo. These are copies of the original completed document.

eSign in Progress

You started eSigning but need to finish filling in the fields. Resume anytime to finish.

Sent for Signature

Your document has been sent to another party for eSignature. If you need to sign it, select 'Sign now'.

Document Tip! You can send eSign reminders to automatically remind the other party to sign the document. Hit the bell notification to send a message.

Pending Completion

All parties have now signed the document. You can review the signatures and select 'Mark as Complete'. This will finalise the signatures on the document and send a copy to other parties.

Pending Review

You completed the eSign document and sent it to the Owner for review. They need to 'Mark as Complete' to finish the process.

Sign Completed

The eSign process is now complete. You will be able to download or share this document with others.


Shared Documents

Shared documents are view-only copies of documents sent to other users on the platform. Shared Documents have a purple logo

Sent

When you share a document with another party, your document status will reflect as 'Sent'. This is a 'view only' version- they will not be able ot sign or edit.

Received

This is a document that has been sent to you. You can preview or download this document as a PDF. This is a 'view only' version- you will be able to sign or edit
